Accordingly, the AMAG TopForm variations of 2xxx series alloys are available. These were originally created for the aerospace industry and offer far greater strength than standard alloys in combination with only minimal compromises as fas as cold formability is concerned and without the necessity for heat treatment by the customer. Ultra high strength is attained with highly alloyed 7xxx series materials which warm forming is foreseen for compex geometries. For enhanced corrision resistance, AMAG offers high strength alloys with surface protection clad layer. In this high-end class of rolled aluminium products, the possibilities for the targeted modification of product characteristics through termal and mechanical treatment are exceptionally large.
